Our Story

Hi there! I’m Charlie, the founder of Natuurlik.

Natuurlik began with a fascination and deep appreciation for the indigenous fynbos growing all around me. Surrounded by the beauty and resilience of these remarkable plants, I became inspired by their unique qualities and the connection they created to the place I call home.

At the same time, I found myself wanting to care for my skin in a more natural and intentional way — using gentle ingredients that I could trust and that felt connected to the earth around me. This sparked the idea of creating my own skincare products: handmade, thoughtfully formulated, environmentally conscious, and rooted in nature.

After years of research, learning, and perfecting formulations, I have finally created products that I am proud to share with you.

A great deal of time, care, and intention has gone into every formulation — not only to honour nature, but to create products that truly nourish and support the skin. Each product has been carefully developed and personally tested, and my hope is that every customer can feel the care and thoughtfulness that goes into every drop.

Through Natuurlik, I also hope to give fynbos the appreciation it deserves in the world of skincare. I believe there is something incredibly special about the plants that surround us, and that God has provided these beautiful gifts to care for and nurture us.

For me, Natuurlik is more than skincare. It is a celebration of the beauty, wisdom, and abundance found in South Africa — and an invitation to return to a simpler, more intentional way of caring for ourselves.
